White Chocolate & Pistachio Tiramisu

White Chocolate: Rasa cokelat yang disiapkan dengan mentega cokelat, gula, dan tepung susu.
(Schoolaholic Princess 3, halaman 59)

Make a white chocolate and pistachio tiramisu like a pro!
by Cynthia Loh, Diva Asia
With this simple recipe kindly provided by Jones the grocer, you can make a white chocolate and pistachio tiramisu like a pro!

100g of shelled pistachio nuts
250g of Amedei For You white chocolate buttons
500g of mascarpone cheese
150g of sugar
1 vanilla bean, split in half and scraped to remove seeds
5 egg yolks
3 egg whites
A pinch of salt
200g of sponge finger biscuits
100ml of dessert wine

To prepare:
Finely chop or grate the white chocolate buttons.
Blanch the pistachios in boiling water to remove the skins, then blend them to obtain a smooth, creamy paste.
Whisk the egg yolks with 130g of sugar and vanilla seeds until thick and creamy, then delicately fold the mascarpone cheese, chocolate and the pistachio paste.
Whip the egg whites until stiff with the remaining 20g of sugar and a pinch of salt, then gently fold into the cream mixture.
Spread 1/4 of the cream mixture into a mould or glass, add a layer of sponge finger biscuits and sprinkle with 1/2 the wine. Repeat these layers and finish with the remaining cream mixture.
Place in the fridge for at least three hours before cutting and serving.

Incheon Airport May 2009

Yes, I was in Incheon for an hour from San Francisco to Singapore. Here are some snaps. H1N1 was just start spreading when I was flying back to Singapore... I passed the screen check of course. IMO, Incheon deserves to be No 1 (she has beaten Changi! for few years now!!) because of the bright light design, friendliness of the officers, and let me tell you, small matters count!)

Mini dolls for Schoolaholic scenes

Oh well, too bad the real dolls are expensive. So here are some pictures for the scenes in Schoolaholic Princess.

Both Nana and Phil are Pisces - faces do not match, not good looking enough

Actually, my sister first saw this figurine in our family doctor's office (taller version, should be 30 cm instead of this 13 cm), with his handsome young version face (LOL). And then we talked about that doll (so cool if you are a doctor). And we find that actually the doll is now available in Singapore. You can order it (but quite expensive - sigh). Well, both Nana and Phil are doctors - so they can have this doll with their face.

In graduation gown

This one resembles the closeness of Phil's parents...

This one should be replaced with Nana and Phil's faces
Oh well, if Schoolaholic is filmed, I would create merchandise using these types of figurines!
