12 Scenic Wonders of Ulsan (2): Daewangam Songnim

Ulsan is a south eastern city that I have not visited... However, this magazine presented a very beautiful review of what to see in Ulsan.

Daewangam Songnim

Legend says that Queen Munmu of the Silla became a ‘Guardian Dragon’ of the country after she died and was submerged under the water. With fascinating rock formations, a forest of some 15,000 pine trees, and a vast view of the East Sea, this area is considered the second most magnificent spot on the east coast after Haegeum River.

대왕암 송림
신라 문무대왕비가 죽어서 호국룡이 되어 이 바다에 잠겼다는 전설을 간직한 곳으로 기암괴석과
1만5천여 그루의 아름드리 송림, 동해의 탁트인 푸른 바다 동해안에서 해금강 다음으로 아름답
다는 절경이다. 정문에서 똑바로 들어가면 벚꽃길이 이어지고 등대아래 펼쳐진 기암괴석은 해금
강을 한쪽으로 옮겨다 놓은 듯 그 경관이 절경이다.
